Update for Sunday to Tuesday November 01 to 03 2009

Due to being busy beyond our "shop" hours, I'll just post a quick update on the week so far (Sunday to Tuesday). Regular postings will resume Wednesday.

The main handicap ratings recovered late last week after a bad few days and the top two strike rate Speed ratings (which we are working constantly to improve) have had a fairly good beginning to the week.. The early results show a slight improvement in our services -- except for the top rated of the (4) and (5) grade races. The Select Pick dutches continue in good form.

SUMMARIES (weekly average in red in brackets)

SUNDAY to TUESDAY

The Handicap Ratings and Speed Ratings combined top three strike rate was 62.3% (62.3%)

There were six from twelve successful (4) and (5) UK graded races for dutching, giving a top two strike rate of 50% (50%)

The clear top rated winning strike rate of the (4) and (5) graded races was 16.7% (16.7%)

The Select Pick dutching races provided a 100% winning strike (100%)

HANDICAPS
Clear top rated strike rate was 20% (20%). Best top rated SP was 8/1
Top two strike rate (incl joints) was 42.3% (42.3%). Best 2nd top SP was 6/1
Top three strike rate was 52.7% (52.7%). Best 3rd top SP was 12/1

SPEED RATINGS
Clear top rated strike rate was 19.3% (19.3%). Best top rated SP was 6/1
Top two strike rate (incl joints) was 42.7% (42.7%). Best 2nd top SP was 15/2
Top three strike rate was 53% (53%). Best 3rd top SP was 12/1
note: Unless there are overnight withdrawals there is always one clear top rated horse (in both services). There are never more than three horses (in either service) in the top two in any race where there are joint 2nd tops (one top rated two joint 2nd top). There are never more than four horses in the top three (in either service) in any race where there are either joint 2nd or joint third tops.

If a horse isn't in the top three rated of the handicaps or the speed ratings, then it is highly likely it won't win.
