Speed Rating Stunners

The handicap ratings again produced a very low top rated win percentage but the Speed Ratings were, as they say, on fire. They produced two stunning winners: clear top rated Miss Ferney W 66/1 (3rd top on the handicap list) and 2nd top rated Bollin Dolly W 20/1.

While the rest of the country wrote off Miss Ferney's chances and pegged her a no-hoper, we provided our subscribers with an outstanding each way opportunity. The fact that she won was a bonus. Only one line of form predicted Miss Ferney could run well -- the only time she had encountered genuine fast ground last Autumn HERE. That was easily good enough for her to run well in her first seller -- despite the fact she had been tailed off in handicap company in her last three runs.

That is the quality of our ratings. You can see an explanation of the Handicap Ratings HERE and an explanation of the Speed Ratings HERE. The Speed Ratings are an addition to the handicaps at no extra cost and you can subscribe HERE. There has never been a better time to join us.

If a horse isn't in the top three rated of the handicaps or the speed ratings, then it is highly likely it won't win.

The full top three summary for Sunday:

In ye olden days when Jeremy Glover was a lad, I used to follow his winning handicappers religiously. I fondly remember many big wins curtesy of his horses and three large antepost wagers on the Cambridgeshire (Rambo's Hall - my favourite who won twice and Clifton Fox), and one relatively small each way bet on Balthus -- a lip smacking 50/1 winner. Now he's back and doing very well again.

He has turned Luscivious (or is that mischievous) around the last three runs and he looks a good bet to continue regaining his better form. He was tried without any accoutrements last time and ran a far, far better race than the 8th placing indicates. The cheekpieces are now back on and I take that as a signal. Those who have read my various post here and on the website will know the All Weather is not my favourite surface. But I would trust Jeremy Glover with any handicapper he sends out. So I will await the 4-15 at Southwell with a little more confidence than usual.

Have a good day.
