Though Hamish McGonagall has appeared a professional loser to some this season, he has run some very game races in defeat and hardly shifted in the handicap. The 1-45 at York looks to be an ideal race for a horse who can't quite last out 6f. The specialist 5.5f may be just what he wants and he carries my money with a certain amount of confidence on a very suitable track for his style of running.
