Apologies for the late update. I got caught in a celebration. Very unprofessional - but enjoyable. I don't get much time off (boo-hoo) so I didn't pass up the chance. The way I'm feeling this morning, I think I should have....

There were nine(4) and (5) UK graded races, Friday producing an 55% top two winning strike rate. Four were won by the clear top rated horse and one was won by the joint 2nd top. Four races were unsuccessful.
The full top three summary for Tuesday is:
HANDICAPS
Clear top rated strike rate was 21%

Top three strike rate was 58%
SPEED RATINGS
Clear top rated strike rate was 16%
Top two strike rate (incl joints) was 32%
Top three strike rate was 50%
In passing, I will be writing about the handicaps/speed relationship later tonight. If you want to join in the good discussion I am currently having, please see the comments on the Rose Should Blossom This Time posting.
note: Unless there are overnight withdrawals there is always one clear top rated horse. There are never more than three horses in the top two in any race where there are joint 2nd tops (one top rated two joint 2nd top). There are never more than four horses in the top three in any race where there are either joint 2nd or joint third tops.
If a horse isn't in the top three rated of the handicaps or the speed ratings, then it is highly likely it won't win.
You can see an explanation of the Handicap Ratings HERE and an explanation of the Speed Ratings HERE. The Speed Ratings are an addition to the handicaps at no extra cost and you can subscribe HERE. There has never been a better time to join us.
Sands Crooner (2-45 Beverley) comes with a health warning but he's in the form of his life. If he turns up with enthusiasm, he will be hard to beat.
Misaro (5-10 Haydock) hit form around this time last year and it looks as though he's going to reprise last summer. He's still on a similar mark to his final win of last year. His young apprentice is also no stranger to the winners enclosure and takes off a valuable seven pounds.
Have a good day.
